Boat Capsizes in Nakdong River, Changwon ... Man in His 40s Transported with Cardiac Arrest

At 4:02 p.m. on the 2nd, a boat overturned near Bonpo Bridge on the Nakdong River in Dong-eup, Uichang-gu, Changwon-si, Gyeongnam, causing a person to fall into the water.

According to the Changwon Fire Department, after receiving a report from a passerby near Bonpo Ecological Park, the fire authorities immediately launched a search using a special response team, drones, and boats. At around 5:40 p.m., they located the missing person underwater.

This man in his 40s was found in a state of cardiac arrest about 80 meters downstream from the accident site.

The fire authorities transported the man to the hospital and, together with the police, are investigating the exact circumstances of the accident by questioning witnesses and others involved.
