A Korean man was arrested on suspicion of murdering a Korean woman with whom he stayed overnight at a hotel in Hanoi, the capital of Vietnam.


According to local media VN Express on the 2nd (local time), Vietnamese police arrested a man in his 40s, identified as Mr. A, the previous day on suspicion of killing a Korean woman who was with him at a hotel in Hanoi, and are currently investigating.

According to the police, the two checked into the hotel around 1 p.m. on the 30th of last month, and an argument broke out after the woman refused to have sexual intercourse.


The police stated that after about 10 minutes of quarrel, Mr. A is presumed to have strangled the woman to death.


After the crime, Mr. A fled and went up to the 65th floor of the hotel to attempt an extreme act, but was stopped by a security guard and later arrested by the police, VN Express reported.
