Messages exchanged between Cha Du-ri, a former coach of the men's national soccer team, and a woman who accused him of stalking and other charges have been revealed. On the 31st, YTN reported, "Cha Du-ri filed a lawsuit against woman A, claiming that she defamed him by disclosing unverified private matters."

Cha Du-ri alleged that A threatened him using private matters as leverage and posted content on social networking services (SNS) portraying him as having engaged in improper conduct.

In the complaint, he stated that he had only met A a few times. He also clarified that he had never dated multiple women simultaneously and denied being in a romantic relationship with A. In response to Cha Du-ri's explanation, A expressed a conflicting position via SNS, stating that she had been in a romantic relationship with Cha Du-ri for about three years but recently discovered his infidelity, which led to their conflict.

According to the KakaoTalk messages released by A, words like "I love you" and "I miss you" were exchanged. The messages also included an apology from Cha Du-ri for dating other women simultaneously and attempts to hold on to A. A is scheduled to appear at the police station for questioning on the same day.

Meanwhile, Cha Du-ri is currently legally married. He married Shin Hye-seong, the daughter of the chairman of the Imperial Palace Hotel, in 2008. His wife, Shin Hye-seong, is known to have worked as a hotel coordinator in a wealthy family. The couple has two children, Cha A-il and Cha A-in. Although they announced their divorce in April 2013, the divorce mediation filed by Cha Du-ri did not reach an agreement and was dismissed. Therefore, Cha Du-ri and Shin Hye-seong remain legally married.
