Daegu-Gyeongbuk Free Economic Zone Authority to Provide up to 4.5 Million KRW Each to Six Companies Participating in Domestic Exhibitions

Support for Rental Fees and Promotion Costs

The Daegu-Gyeongbuk Free Economic Zone Authority is implementing a support program that provides up to 4.5 million KRW per company for promotional and booth rental expenses for resident companies participating in domestic exhibitions in 2024.


This project aims to provide effective marketing opportunities for small and medium-sized enterprises located within the Daegu-Gyeongbuk Free Economic Zone and to enhance their specialization and competitiveness.

Applications for participation were accepted from resident companies of the Daegu-Gyeongbuk Free Economic Zone until April 19, and a total of six companies were selected. These companies can receive support of up to 4.5 million KRW per company for booth rental, installation, and promotional expenses.


Among the participating companies, 'Decomposition' has launched an innovative kitchen detergent called 'Dr. Flynn' that addresses microplastic issues with an environmentally conscious approach. Utilizing EM microorganisms and natural substances, this product boasts safe and effective cleaning power. The company will participate in Mega Show 2024 Season 1 (May 30 - June 2, KINTEX) and the 2024 Korea ESG Eco-Friendly Expo (October 10 - 12, COEX).


In addition, 'U2NG' will participate in the 2024 Korea Electric Industry Expo (June 12 - 14, EXCO). This company specializes in the development and production of radiation management area safety systems and will introduce newly developed products such as airborne sample collectors and lot-based wireless radiation exposure management systems, as well as share its technology development roadmap.


'Birdsia' began as a manufacturer of baby products and has since expanded into the pet product market. Known for its innovative design and functionality, the company is pioneering export markets and will participate in the 2024 K-Pet Fair COEX (August 23 - 25, COEX).


'Byenergy' is a startup specializing in electric vehicle charger technology and manufacturing. Through participation in exhibitions, the company is focusing on securing new buyers in the electric vehicle and charging technology sectors and will participate in KES 2024 (Korea Electronics Show) (October 22 - 25, COEX).

'Taeyoung Filtration System' is a filter press manufacturer, a key facility in the solid-liquid separation field, aiming to become a global company encompassing all solid-liquid separation devices. The company is also expanding its business scope through local subsidiaries and joint ventures for overseas market entry and will participate in the 2024 Korea International Water Week (November 13 - 15, EXCO).


'CMA Global' is an export-oriented company manufacturing eyewear-related consumer goods such as ultra-fine microfiber cleaners, eyeglass cases, and pouches. The company exports to about 2,600 clients in approximately 100 countries worldwide, including the United States, Japan, Germany, France, as well as Asia and Africa. It plans to focus on securing new customers by participating in the 2024 Seoul International Sourcing Fair (December 4 - 6, COEX).


The support program for resident companies' participation in domestic exhibitions is a key corporate support initiative being actively promoted to revitalize the free economic zone as part of the innovation ecosystem creation project, and is expected to become a new growth engine for regional economic development.


Kim Byungsam, Commissioner of the Daegu-Gyeongbuk Free Economic Zone Authority, stated, "Participation in these domestic exhibitions will greatly support the entry of resident companies into new markets," adding, "We will actively support the expansion of sales channels and technological innovation for local small and medium-sized enterprises."
