Complete Renovation of Facilities... Welcoming Citizens with a Pleasant Environment
Busan Metropolitan Corporation (BMC, President Kim Yonghak) announced on the 31st that the swimming pool at Busan Youth Hostel Arpina will reopen on June 1 after completing a two-month renovation.
Since April, BMC has temporarily closed the Arpina swimming pool to carry out comprehensive repair work on the facilities. This was done to resolve inconveniences caused by aging infrastructure, prevent safety accidents, and create a more pleasant environment for citizens.
The renovation, which cost approximately 214 million KRW, included a complete repainting of the pool interior, replacement of ceiling structures, water tank repairs, lane rope replacement, and replacement of drain covers. Through the maintenance of aging facilities, BMC aims to enhance customer convenience and safety, thereby increasing user satisfaction.
Kim Yonghak, President of Busan Metropolitan Corporation, expressed his gratitude, saying, "I would like to thank the existing members and citizens who patiently waited for the reopening of the Arpina swimming pool during this not-so-short period. We will make every effort to actively listen to customer feedback and ensure smooth operations so that citizens can enjoy sports in a comfortable and safe environment."
Busan Youth Hostel Arpina is a leading youth training facility in Busan, known as a popular workation destination in Haeundae. It features a variety of rooms and meeting spaces at the level of a luxury hotel, as well as a sports center.
