Jeep's pure electric sports utility vehicle (SUV) was unveiled for the first time in the world. The interior is filled with a newly redesigned exterior and a vast display screen.

Stellantis Korea announced on the 31st that it officially unveiled Jeep's premium pure electric SUV, the '2024 Jeep Wagoneer S Launch Edition,' to the world.

The Wagoneer S is designed based on Stellantis' new electric vehicle dedicated platform, 'STLA Large.' Jeep modified some components of the STLA Large platform, including overall length, width, suspension, and powertrain, specifically for the Wagoneer S. This is said to have further enhanced instant torque and acceleration. The body torsional rigidity improved by 35% compared to existing Jeep mid-size SUVs. Noise and vibration were reduced to improve interior quietness and ride comfort.

The Wagoneer S delivers a maximum output of 600 horsepower and a peak torque of 85.3 kgf·m. It takes 3.4 seconds to accelerate from a standstill to 100 km/h. The driving range is up to 483 km on a single charge (based on North American standards). Equipped with a 400V, 100 kWh large-capacity battery pack, it can charge from 20% to 80% in 23 minutes using a DC fast charger. It also features a 'Selec-Terrain Terrain Management System' based on a 4x4 system.

The front exterior features a newly designed seven-slot grille. The ambient cast LED lights embedded in the grille automatically turn on when approaching the vehicle. To maximize performance, an optimal aerodynamic design was adopted, achieving the brand's lowest drag coefficient Cd of 0.29.

Inside, there is more than 45 inches of screen space, the best in its class. The passenger seat screen is also 10.25 inches. The driver's controls and interface operate digitally. Notably, Jeep's first-ever electronic door release function has been introduced, allowing the door to be opened with just a touch.

For infotainment, the 'Uconnect 5 system' with improved responsiveness compared to before is installed. It connects to a 12.3-inch center display and a 10.25-inch interactive passenger screen. Over-the-air (OTA) updates are also supported. Through Jeep's connected service 'Jeep Connect,' users can check battery remaining charge, driving range, and more.

Additionally, it is equipped with heated and ventilated rear seats, customizable LED lighting with day/night settings, ambient lighting with 64 color options, and a 'McIntosh Sound System' with 19 speakers.

Driving assistance features include Active Driving Assist, intersection collision avoidance assist, drowsiness detection, traffic sign recognition, and surround-view cameras as standard. It is scheduled to be released first in the United States and Canada this fall, followed by expansion to various countries worldwide.
