Choi Tae-won and Noh So-young Divorce Appeal Verdict on 30th
20 Billion Won Alimony and 1.3808 Trillion Won Property Division Ruling
"Excessively Biased Trial... Regretful"
Choi Tae-won, chairman of SK, has expressed his intention to appeal the Supreme Court regarding the appellate court's decision in the divorce lawsuit with No So-young, director of Art Center Nabi.

On the 30th, Chairman Choi's legal team stated, "We regret the excessively biased process and conclusion of the trial," and claimed, "The appellate court has conducted the trial in a biased and arbitrary manner, as if the conclusion had already been decided from the beginning."
On the same day, the Family Division 2 of the Seoul High Court (Presiding Judges Kim Si-cheol, Kim Ok-gon, Lee Dong-hyun) ruled in the divorce appeal case between Chairman Choi and Director No, ordering the plaintiff (Chairman Choi) to pay the defendant (Director No) 2 billion KRW in alimony and 1.3808 trillion KRW in property division.
This amount significantly increased from the first trial on December 2022, which recognized 100 million KRW in alimony and 66.5 billion KRW in property division, marking the largest known property division amount to date.
Chairman Choi's legal team criticized, "Judging in a biased manner without properly proving a single fact is a serious legal error in fact-finding," and added, "Publicizing the one-sided claims of Director No as facts is a direct violation of the principle of confidentiality in family trials."
Regarding the alleged inflow of funds from former President Roh Tae-woo, they stated, "There has been no proof at all, and the judgment was made solely based on vague speculation, which is completely unacceptable," and countered, "On the contrary, SK provided various resources under pressure from the in-laws and has long supported Director No's side extensively."
They continued, "Chairman Choi apologizes for causing concern to the company and members of society during the trial period," but added, "However, the reputation of the company, its members, and shareholders has been seriously damaged by completely opposite conjectures and misunderstandings."
Chairman Choi's side stated, "We will correct the errors through an appeal to the Supreme Court."
