This year marks the 50th anniversary of Sahakyeongeum, and with the completion of the TP Tower, a landmark in Yeouido, Seoul, the anniversary ceremony was held together with the TP Tower opening ceremony. The Yeouido TP Tower was reconstructed due to the aging of the Seoul Hall owned by the corporation, and was completed last February to enhance rental competitiveness and profitability. It has 6 basement floors and 42 above-ground floors, with a total floor area of approximately 43,000 pyeong. Starting with Sahakyeongeum's occupancy, institutions such as Shinhan Investment Corp. and Kiwoom Securities are currently leasing space.

The ceremony was attended by Sahakyeongeum executives and employees, as well as Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Education Lee Ju-ho, key members of the National Assembly, former chairpersons of the corporation, and related parties involved in the construction of TP Tower.

The event began with a commemorative speech by Chairman Song Ha-jung and congratulatory remarks by the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Education. It proceeded with the TP Tower ribbon-cutting ceremony, a report on the corporation’s history and the construction progress of TP Tower, a future vision proclamation ceremony, the dedication ceremony for the 50-year history compilation, screening of congratulatory videos from related institution heads, and awards for contributions to TP Tower.

Chairman Song Ha-jung stated, “Sahakyeongeum was established in 1974 following the enactment of the 'Private School Teachers’ Pension Act' in 1973, and has grown to support approximately 450,000 teachers and staff with a fund size of 27 trillion won, thanks to the support of the teaching staff and the hard work of the corporation’s employees. Marking this TP Tower opening ceremony, we will continue to develop Sahakyeongeum further.”

Meanwhile, Sahakyeongeum achieved a fund operation return rate of 13.5% and an operating income of 2.84 trillion won in 2023. As of the end of April this year, the fund operation return rate is 4.8%, with operating income of 1.151 trillion won.
