Gyeonggi-do 28 Public Institutions Audit Council Holds First Regular Meeting on the 30th

Gyeonggi-do 28 Public Institutions Audit Council Holds First Regular Meeting on the 30th The Gyeonggi-do Public Institution Audit Council is taking a commemorative photo after holding its first regular meeting of the year on the 30th.

The 'Gyeonggi-do Public Institution Audit Council,' composed of audit department heads from 28 public institutions under Gyeonggi-do, held its first regular meeting of the year on the 30th at the Suwon Convention Center.

At the meeting, the Audit Council discussed topics including ▲ the establishment of standard regulations and manuals for routine audits of public institutions ▲ improvement plans for managing shared vehicles of public institutions ▲ cooperation measures to eradicate passive administration ▲ and measures to enhance the effectiveness of disciplinary actions for sexual crimes and drunk driving within public institutions.

They also shared best practices from the Gyeonggi Credit Guarantee Foundation, which led the way in ESG management participation among public institutions and became the first public institution in the province to obtain compliance management and anti-corruption certification.

Additionally, Gyeonggi-do conducted training sessions aimed at improving practical skills for audit department staff of public institutions, including the actual preparation of audit reports.

Prior to the regular meeting, the heads of the audit departments from the 28 public institutions delivered a policy proposal document on the establishment of the Audit Committee and the Residents' Rights Committee, initiatives promoted by Gyeonggi-do, to Choi Eun-soon, the Auditor of Gyeonggi-do, on behalf of the Audit Council.

Choi Eun-soon, Auditor of Gyeonggi-do, expressed gratitude, saying, "I appreciate the interest and support of the Public Institution Audit Council for the Gyeonggi-do Audit Committee and the Residents' Rights Committee," and promised, "Through continued communication and cooperation with the Audit Council entering its Season 2, we will create a new audit operation system that reflects the changes of the times."

Gyeonggi-do plans to thoroughly review the results of the Public Institution Audit Council meetings, incorporate effective proposals into audit policies, and share them with related departments such as supervisory and guidance departments to ensure they are reflected in their work.

Since its official launch in April last year, now entering its second year, the Gyeonggi-do Public Institution Audit Council has discussed audit issues and ways to overcome corruption-prone areas through regular meetings in the first and second halves of the year and small group meetings. Last year, it achieved tangible audit innovation results, including the nationwide first establishment of the "Standard Regulations for Active Administration Operation in Public Institutions."
