Smart Farm, Tourism, Seasonal Workers, etc.
Gong Young-min, the governor of Goheung-gun, Jeollanam-do, announced on May 28 that he visited Khentii Province, Mongolia, and agreed with Governor Chosomjav to cooperate for mutual development between the two local governments.
Prior to this agreement, Goheung-gun and Khentii Province signed a business agreement in January to attract seasonal workers, and in March, Governor Chosomjav and a delegation of officials visited Goheung-gun to tour smart farms, yuzu, and gim processing factories.
The main points of discussion during this visit included ▲exchange of advanced agricultural technology information such as smart farms ▲regional development utilizing the drone industry ▲establishment of a stable seasonal worker supply system ▲joint efforts for environmental conservation and tourism revitalization, with both local governments agreeing to cooperate for mutual benefit.
Gong Young-min, governor of Goheung-gun, said, “Agriculture, tourism, environment, and export exchanges are very important issues, and I hope that continuous exchanges will become an opportunity for mutual development of both local governments,” adding, “I hope Goheung-processed food products will be loved by the residents of Khentii Province.”
Chosomjav, governor of Khentii Province, Mongolia, said, “When I visited Goheung in March and saw the smart farms, Goheung yuzu, and gim factories, I was deeply impressed. I hope our residents can tour advanced agriculture and experience advanced technology through tourism, and that the cooperative relationship between Goheung-gun and Khentii Province will continue.”
A Goheung-gun official stated, “Through this agreement, Goheung-gun’s advanced agricultural technology and Khentii Province’s human resources will become an opportunity for joint development of both local governments.”
