Ministry of SMEs and Startups Holds Kick-off Ceremony for 'Legend 50+' Participating Companies in Ulsan

Central and Local Government Collaboration
21 Projects in 17 Local Governments

On the 30th, the Ministry of SMEs and Startups announced that it held a launch ceremony for companies participating in the regional specialized project 'Legend50+' at the Ulsan Exhibition & Convention Center. Legend50+ is a regional enterprise growth model initiated by the Ministry this year, where 21 carefully selected projects based on local government specialized industry strategies are jointly supported by local and central governments to address regional issues during the new technology transition period and foster anchor companies within the region.


Ministry of SMEs and Startups Holds Kick-off Ceremony for 'Legend 50+' Participating Companies in Ulsan Oh Young-joo, Minister of SMEs and Startups, is delivering the opening address at the 'Legend 50+ Participating Companies Launch Ceremony' held on the 30th at the Ulsan Exhibition and Convention Center.

The launch ceremony was held under the theme "Legend50+, Opening Innovation and the Future of the Region." Minister Oh Young-joo of the Ministry of SMEs and Startups stated, "Legend50+ is a core policy tool for nurturing regional SMEs as part of the SME leap strategy, and through its steady implementation, we will support regional economic revitalization and the sustainable growth of participating companies."


Related organizations involved in the project signed a supporters' business agreement to solidly back the growth of participating companies. Through this, they plan to regularize the operation of inter-agency consultative bodies and strengthen collaboration to support participating companies by discovering linked support projects. The Ministry of SMEs and Startups, as the representative brand of regional SME development policies, will collaborate as one team with 17 local governments, regional SME offices, and regional innovation institutions to ensure Legend50+ achieves its intended goals. Reflecting field opinions, they also plan to actively consider promoting 'Legend50+ 2.0' next year, which will substantially expand the support content, scale, and scope of Legend50+.
