Ferrari unveiled the Ferrari 12Cilindri, equipped with a naturally aspirated 12-cylinder internal combustion engine, for the first time in Asia in Korea. Deliveries in the domestic market are expected to begin as early as next year.
On the 30th, Ferrari held an Asia premiere event at the Inspire Resort in Incheon and revealed the new Ferrari 12Cilindri. This marked the first time the model was shown in Asia, just one month after its world premiere in Miami, USA last month.
'Cilindri' is the Italian word for 'Cylinder.' As the name suggests, the 12Cilindri inherits the unique sensibility of a 12-cylinder internal combustion engine and Ferrari’s DNA. The Ferrari 12Cilindri is a two-seater vehicle positioned between sports cars and racing cars in Ferrari’s lineup. It was created with the concept of being a 'car for the select few.'

The 6.5ℓ naturally aspirated front mid-mounted 12-cylinder engine in the 12Cilindri produces 830 horsepower. The maximum engine speed reaches up to 9,500 rpm. Notably, it delivers 80% of its maximum torque from 2,500 rpm, allowing for immediate response at low speeds and continuous power up to the redline (maximum RPM). The time to accelerate from zero to 100 km/h is 2.9 seconds.
Additionally, the intake and exhaust lines have been optimized to provide the distinctive clear and rich high-frequency sound characteristic of Ferrari’s 12-cylinder engines, as well as a full-bodied sound across all frequency ranges. The vehicle’s aerodynamics and dynamic performance have also been refined with advanced technology. The active aerodynamic device, seamlessly integrated into the rear screen, operates only during high-performance driving conditions to generate up to 50 kg of additional downforce.
The design draws inspiration from grand tourers of the 1950s and 1960s, emphasizing elegance and dynamism. The horizontal blade-type daytime running lights and tail lamps, which blend smoothly with the body, incorporate functionality and technology without compromising aesthetic beauty. Furthermore, black screens applied to the wind and rear screens and the cabin frame complete a futuristic design.
The new chassis, made from 100% aluminum and secondary alloys, improves torsional rigidity while reducing weight. The glass roof extending from the front screen to the rear and the symmetrical dual cockpit structure provide a sense of openness inside the cabin.
Emmanuele Carando, Ferrari’s Global Product Marketing Director, said, "The 12Cilindri is a vehicle that satisfies the highest levels of comfort, outstanding performance born from innovative technology, and the pure thrill of driving. It is an important model that satisfies both sports car drivers and racing drivers."
Kim Kwang-chul, CEO of FMK, Ferrari’s official importer, stated, "Korea is a market with many customers who have a deep understanding and passion for Ferrari, so we are pleased to introduce the 12Cilindri in Korea as the first in Asia, following the previous 12-cylinder model, the Purosangue. We hope that Ferrari fans in Korea will experience the irreplaceable sensibility of the 12-cylinder engine through the 12Cilindri."
