“I have reflected a lot” amid cryptocurrency scam controversy
YouTuber Oking (Oh Byung-min), who has been embroiled in controversy over a 'scam coin' (cryptocurrency fraud), is reported to have been admitted to a psychiatric hospital. On the 30th, a notice was posted on Oking's fan cafe stating, "Oking has completed the hospitalization procedure under the judgment of the attending physician." Oking's side said, "This is a measure to save the person Oh Byung-min rather than Oking," and added, "It is deplorable that the reality twists even the process of one person's life falling apart into manipulation." They continued, "Before entering (the hospital), Oking deeply regretted his behavior and words, and apologized, saying he had changed a lot and was sorry for causing trouble. You may call it emotional manipulation, but it is sincere."
Oking said, "I don't know what other problems may arise in the future. Honestly, what's true is true, and what's not is not, and for areas that are currently impossible, I will ask for time. Even if (fans) are disappointed and leave during this process, I have no reason to hold them back. But if you believe and wait, I want to say please trust that I will return to my early self." He added that he has Oking's phone and other devices, so communication with the outside is impossible.

Choi Seung-jung, former CEO of Winners, lamented on the same day, "We gave Oking a last chance, but Oking's company said he was hospitalized in a psychiatric hospital and can't even use his phone," adding, "He caused all this trouble and then got hospitalized, so I have nothing to say. It's very frustrating." He also said, "He said he wants to talk when he comes back to his senses," and added, "It's not right to blindly criticize someone who is sick. I hope Oking will honestly tell everything sincerely after discharge."
Furthermore, regarding the suspicion that Winners is a scam coin, he said, "It is a clear fact that the scam suspicion of Winners has spread further because of Oking's lies," and added, "We want to know why he had to lie." He also stated, "Whether Winners is a scam or not will be revealed through the investigation results."

Earlier, Oking, a YouTuber with 2 million subscribers, became embroiled in controversy after it was revealed that he was registered as a director of Winners, which is suspected of being a scam coin. Winners is a company that operates MMA leagues and sports centers based on blockchain technology. It was also reported to have been listed on a global digital asset exchange last year. On online communities and social networking services (SNS), allegations arose that illegal fundraising and other illegal activities occurred during the issuance of the company's own cryptocurrency, 'Winners Coin.'
In response, Winners dismissed the claims as "malicious rumors based on false facts," while Oking denied his connection to Winners but claimed he was also a victim, which further fueled the 'scam coin' suspicions. Oking returned to broadcasting after three months, and the dispute with Winners again became the center of controversy. As criticism intensified, Oking held a tearful live broadcast, and an incident occurred where the police were dispatched following a report by his younger sibling, Oqueen, who was concerned about a possible situation. Oking's YouTube subscriber count, which once had 2 million subscribers, dropped to 1.66 million as of that morning.
