He also added, "Through the linkage experience with Galaxy smartphones, productivity and creativity have also grown to the next level." The Galaxy Book4 Edge is equipped with Qualcomm's AI-dedicated processor, the 'Snapdragon X Elite.' It supports AI processing with a neural processing unit (NPU) that provides a processing speed of up to 45 TOPS (45 trillion operations per second). A notable feature is the 'Copilot+ PC,' developed in collaboration with Microsoft, which allows users to experience both cloud and on-device AI functions. Jisung Park, Vice President of Qualcomm CDMA Technology Korea Marketing Division, said, "Snapdragon X Elite is a processor optimized for AI PCs," adding, "It delivers innovative AI performance, including battery life that lasts for several days."

Regarding concerns about app compatibility arising from the first ARM-based chip being installed in a Galaxy Book, he emphasized that there is no need to worry. Vice President Park said, "We are aware of the market's prejudice regarding app compatibility, and Samsung, Qualcomm, and Microsoft have made tremendous efforts," adding, "As a result, all apps have passed compatibility tests."

Samsung Electronics demonstrated the AI features of the Galaxy Book4 Edge on the day. By connecting a Galaxy smartphone via 'Link to Windows,' users could utilize the smartphone's AI functions on the PC as well. For example, if a circle is drawn on the smartphone screen for the 'Circle to Search' function, the search results can be mirrored on the Galaxy Book4 Edge screen and directly pasted into PC documents. It was also possible to summarize and translate meeting recordings made on the smartphone and paste them into emails on the linked PC screen.

The 'Recall' feature, which allows users to search in natural language what tasks they performed at a specific point in the past, was also introduced. It could search not only recently created documents and emails but also watched video content, text messages, and voice recordings. When users activate the Recall feature, activities performed on the PC are saved as snapshots. Users can improve search efficiency by focusing on keywords or time points. Executive Director Park said, "There have been imperfect search experiences on PCs, such as not being able to find where a file was saved," adding, "Improving the search function can alleviate the inconveniences users have experienced."

Regarding privacy invasion and security concerns due to snapshots, Executive Director Park said, "The storage capacity used by the Recall feature can be set by the user, and snapshots taken can be deleted arbitrarily," adding, "It is also possible to set the feature not to operate on specific apps or websites."

In addition, Microsoft’s AI features were showcased. 'Co-Creator' in 'Paint' transformed simple sketches into artworks or generated new images based on commands. 'Effects' in 'Windows Studio' supported features such as camera filters and background effects powered by on-device AI, as well as voice focus, portrait mode, background blur, and focus adjustment.

Samsung Electronics also revealed a roadmap to continuously release new products to lead the AI PC market, starting with the Galaxy Book4 Edge. Executive Director Park said, "Galaxy Book4 Edge is a premium product applying Snapdragon X Elite," adding, "We will continue to innovate AI usability so that two out of three AI notebook PCs sold in the domestic market this year will be Galaxy Books." He also added, "In the second half of the year, we are preparing a new 15-inch product based on the Snapdragon X Elite Plus." According to industry sources, Samsung Electronics holds the top position in the domestic overall notebook market with a 49.5% market share.

From the 3rd of next month, pre-purchase notifications can be applied for on Samsung.com, and those who purchase the product after applying will receive a 50,000 KRW Naver Pay voucher.
