Osan City in Gyeonggi Province announced on the 30th that it will recruit new 'Good Price Businesses' for 2024 until the 14th of next month.
'Good Price Businesses' are establishments designated and managed by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety and local governments to lay the foundation for curbing price increases and stabilizing personal services. Currently, there are 19 Good Price Businesses designated in Osan.
The recruitment targets are personal service industries such as dining and beauty businesses located in Osan City. However, businesses that have received administrative sanctions within the last two years, have unpaid local taxes, are corporations or franchise businesses, or have been operating for less than six months are excluded.
The selection process involves evaluating the price level of the Good Price menu, hygiene and cleanliness, and public interest criteria, followed by on-site inspections conducted by a joint public-private on-site evaluation team to select suitable businesses.
Designated businesses will receive a Good Price Business certification plaque, promotional support, and certain financial incentives.
A city official stated, "We will continue to strive to spread a price stabilization atmosphere through the designation of Good Price Businesses and other measures to stabilize service prices."
