Daegu EXCO Hosts 'Gyeongbuk Meta Content Festival'... Cartoonist Lee Hyunse and 2.59 Million Subscriber YouTuber Allblanc to Appear

The 'Gyeongbuk Meta Content Festival,' featuring exhibitions, seminars, and forums from institutions and companies in the content industry, will be held at EXCO from May 31 to June 2.

Hosted by Kyungil University (President Jung Hyuntae), the Gyeongbuk Meta Content Festival is supported by the Kyungil University Local University Revitalization Project Group. The event will showcase the achievements of Kyungil University students in the content field, as well as those of related institutions and companies, and will include relevant seminars and forums.

This festival will feature a special lecture by cartoonist Lee Hyunse, the ICT Startup Festa, AI motion drawing education and competition, a Brawl Stars gaming tournament, an exhibition of award-winning works from the National High School Content Contest, and various hands-on experience programs.

Cartoonist Lee Hyunse is known for creating many popular works, including 'Horror Foreign Baseball Team' (comic), the 'Kkachi' series (comic), 'Myth of Heaven' (webtoon), and 'Like a Wolf, Alone' (webtoon), which were among the top box office hits of the 1980s. He will give a lecture on content production.

The ICT Startup Festa will feature 'Allblanc,' a YouTuber with 2.59 million subscribers, and 'Jjiruk,' a YouTuber with 58,000 subscribers, who will jointly conduct a startup competition and mentoring sessions. The Brawl Stars gaming tournament will be held over three days with 'Jigeun,' a YouTuber with 42,000 subscribers, and will be broadcast live on YouTube.

Participants at the event can also experience various content technologies, including caricature drawing, drone piloting, motion capture, VR experiences, virtual studio experiences, and AI-based architecture design.

This festival will take place for three days from May 31 at Hall 6, East Wing of EXCO in Daegu, and is open to everyone from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Visitors will receive souvenirs (eco bags) and free coffee coupons.

EXCO is preparing to host various exhibitions related to advanced industries such as ICT and ABB. The 'Korea International Advanced Medical Device and Medical Industry Exhibition,' which will showcase the latest trends and technologies in the medical industry, will be held in June together with '2024 Medi Expo Korea.' In October, the '2024 Daegu Content Fair,' a comprehensive festival for the content industry, and the 'Future Innovation Technology Expo (FIX2024),' a platform for exchange in Daegu's five major new industries and technologies, are also scheduled to take place.
