Maeil Dairies Launches 'Mediwell', a Balanced Nutritional Meal with 50 Years of Expertise

'Mediwell,' a specialized balanced nutrition (patient food) brand designed by Maeil Dairies' 50 years of nutrition experts, has been newly launched with enhanced nutrition and updated package design.

The renewed Mediwell lineup includes a total of five products: three types of balanced nutritional formula foods, one mixed beverage, and one nutritional formula food for diabetic patients, all in an easy-to-drink beverage form.

The three balanced nutritional formula foods are Mediwell ‘Gusuhanmat Plus,’ ‘Ogokmat Plus Mini,’ and ‘High Protein Plus.’ All three products are balanced to provide the three major nutrients as well as 25 types of vitamins and minerals, with increased selenium and vitamin B2 content compared to previous products. Additionally, ‘Gusuhanmat Plus’ and ‘High Protein Plus’ have been renewed as lactose-free products by removing lactose for people sensitive to milk lactose.

In particular, ‘High Protein Plus’ contains 15g of protein, which is more protein than three cups of milk (based on 125mL per cup), and also provides dietary fiber. The mixed beverage ‘Mediwell High Protein Vitality Plus,’ which helps bone and muscle vitality and protein intake, contains the three major nutrients and 15 types of vitamins and minerals. It is made based on ten traditional food ingredients, including angelica, licorice concentrated extract, and cinnamon.

This product contains 12g of protein and 5g of dietary fiber, which corresponds to 20% of the daily recommended intake. It is also lactose-free, allowing people sensitive to lactose to drink comfortably. The nutritional formula food for diabetic patients, ‘Mediwell Diabetic Diet,’ is a product that can supplement nutrition and serve as a meal replacement for patients who need to control sugar intake.
