Ottogi announced on the 30th that it will introduce a new living product collection in collaboration with the premium sofa brand ESSA.

Ottogi Unveils 'Sweet Home' Living Collection with Essa

The newly launched 'SWEET HOME' collection was planned with the concept of creating a sweet resting space by combining Ottogi, which offers a ‘gourmet’ experience through everyday food, and ESSA, which has a sophisticated ‘aesthetic sense.’ The collection features a fresh visual reinterpretation of seven of Ottogi’s signature products (curry, ketchup, mayonnaise, Jin Ramen, ground black pepper, mushroom soup, and seaweed) as furniture.

First, the single-seat ‘Curry Bean Bag,’ inspired by Ottogi Curry celebrating its 55th anniversary this year, uses a white bean bag and a yellow multi topper to represent rice topped with curry. The multi topper is detachable and can be used as a bean bag cover or a blanket, while a bean bag cushion shaped like a potato?the main ingredient of curry?adds a playful touch to the design. The Curry Bean Bag is available in ESSA’s Italian natural leather Doblis and Rib fabric, which features water repellency and easy-clean functions.

The sofa inspired by ‘Mayonnaise’ and the stool derived from ‘Mushroom Soup’ apply ESSA’s Labucle fabric, known for its soft texture and smooth feel. The ‘O!MAYO Wide 3-Seater Sofa,’ reminiscent of soft mayonnaise, offers comfortable seating with an organic design featuring curved seat and back cushions and balanced volume, enhanced by a round cushion that evokes a mayonnaise lid for added detail.

The ‘Mushroom Stool,’ visually inspired by the mushrooms used in mushroom soup, can be customized in seven colors including Salty White, Crumble Beige, Cinnamon Brick, and Meringue Pink. It features luxurious shirring details and high-density foam in the seat cushion, providing a soft yet firm seating experience.

Additionally, various living products such as the ‘Tomato Cushion’ and ‘Pepper Cushion’ inspired by Ottogi Ketchup and ground black pepper, as well as the ‘Noodle Rug’ and ‘Seaweed Rug’ inspired by Jin Ramen and seaweed, allow for creating a comfortable and vibrant sweet home.

The SWEET HOME collection will be unveiled on the ESSA official website on the 31st. It will also be showcased at ‘Haengbokjakdang Seochon,’ held from the 4th to the 6th of next month in the Seochon area of Seoul. Haengbokjakdang is an open house event hosted by the magazine ‘Haengboki Gadeukhan Jip’ (House Full of Happiness), and the collection will be exhibited at ‘Nanhojae,’ a hanok built in the 1930s that has been renovated. After the event, a collaborative product showroom will be set up and displayed at ESSA flagship stores nationwide (Namyangju, Ilsan, Yangsan).

An Ottogi representative said, “We are presenting this collaborative collection with ESSA to create synergy through cross-industry cooperation and to promote the value of the sweet home that Ottogi aims for,” adding, “We hope you will use these living products, which combine design and practicality, to decorate your resting space comfortably and stylishly.”
