According to a report by Japan's private broadcaster Fuji News Network (FNN) on the 29th, the meeting will take place in Washington DC, with South Korea's Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy Ahn Duk-geun, U.S. Secretary of Commerce Gina Raimondo, and Japan's Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry Saito Gen expected to attend.

The South Korea-U.S.-Japan industry ministers' meeting was established following an agreement at the trilateral summit held at Camp David last August. According to reports, the meeting is expected to discuss measures to strengthen semiconductor supply chains with China in mind ahead of the trilateral summit.

This year's South Korea-U.S.-Japan summit is anticipated to be held in conjunction with the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) summit in Washington DC this July. However, a specific date has not yet been determined.

The leaders of South Korea, the United States, and Japan agreed at the Camp David trilateral summit to hold regular summits at least once a year.
