"Try Using the Boiler Yourself Before Buying"… Kyungdong Navien Accelerates Experience Store Strategy

Popular Experiential Store 'Navien House'
Plans for Additional Openings Within the Year

Kyungdong Navien is accelerating its experiential store strategy. After unveiling the 'Navien House' at the end of last year, where customers can experience related products in a structure similar to an actual home, the company is actively expanding its stores this year as well. Following the establishment of a large-scale Navien House in Jeju Island in March, additional openings are planned within the year. The strategy aims to expand consumer touchpoints and create synergy in sales not only for boilers but also for related product lines.

On the 30th, Kyungdong Navien announced plans to continuously expand experiential stores to increase consumer accessibility to its products. Currently, Kyungdong Navien operates five experiential stores in addition to its dealerships. After launching an experiential offline store at Starfield Hanam in 2019, it opened another experiential store at Electromart in The Town Mall Kintex, Ilsan, Goyang-si, Gyeonggi-do, in September last year. In December, the company created the experiential store brand 'Navien House' and opened locations in Namyangju Northern Branch and Uijeongbu Western Branch. In March this year, it opened a large-scale three-story experiential store, ‘Navien House Jeju Branch,’ in Jeju Island.

Kyungdong Navien plans to further expand by opening new experiential stores within the year. At Kyungdong Navien’s experiential stores, customers can see not only the exterior but also the internal structure of the products at a glance. The ‘Navien House Jeju Branch,’ which opened this year, is a three-story exhibition hall where approximately 100 products produced by Kyungdong Navien and Kyungdongwon?including boilers, ventilation purifiers, condensing air conditioners, cooktops, range hoods, sleep mats, wall pads, and insulated fire doors?can be directly experienced.

A key feature is that customers can experience how the products operate in actual living spaces. In the kitchen, the ventilation purifier, 3D air hood, and cooktop operate as one system, allowing visitors to observe the process of expelling polluted air and supplying fresh air filtered through a clean filter system. In the bathroom and utility room, visitors can see how hot water is supplied within 10 seconds through the ‘Navien CondensingON AI,’ a boiler focused on hot water. The cooling air unique to the condensing air conditioner, which differentiates it from general system air conditioners, can also be experienced.

To enhance customer understanding, a ‘docent tour’ is also conducted. This method, commonly used in museums or art galleries to provide explanations about exhibits to visitors, allows customers to hear detailed explanations on-site about where products are installed in their homes and how they operate, according to Kyungdong Navien. Additionally, on-site staff provide one-on-one customized consultations to help customers select products that are essential for their households.

A Kyungdong Navien representative said, "We are expanding Navien Houses in collaboration with dealerships to promote our products in an easy and enjoyable way while providing customers with a differentiated purchasing experience." They added, "We will continue to provide products and services that satisfy our customers' lives."
