Sahmyook University Celebrates 120th Anniversary with 'Touching Donation Relay Campaign'

Sahmyook University will conduct the "120th Anniversary Commemorative Touching Donation Relay Campaign" until the 120th anniversary of its founding on October 10, 2026.

The donation amounts are ▲Hope Sharing 12,000 KRW ▲Joy Sharing 120,000 KRW ▲Happiness Sharing 1,200,000 KRW ▲Love Sharing 12,000,000 KRW ▲Vision Sharing 120,000,000 KRW. Each tier will have 120 participants, totaling 600 people participating in a relay format. All Sahmyook members, including students, professors, staff, alumni, church members, and major donors, can participate with donations ranging from small to large amounts. The overall fundraising goal is 16 billion KRW.

'SU RISE' is a slogan announced by President Je Hae-jong of Sahmyook University upon his inauguration in March. It represents four core strategies to enhance the university's brand value: ▲Revival (Mission, Community) ▲Innovation (Education, Personnel) ▲Sustainability (ESG, Finance) ▲Engagement (Internationalization, Platform), taking the first letters of each word.

President Je said, “The next four years of my term will be a golden time to build a solid platform to strengthen Sahmyook’s brand value in response to the imminent crisis of university extinction caused by the sharp decline in the school-age population. I ask everyone to become a runner in the touching donation relay and join in creating a new history for Sahmyook education.”
