Support for Fire-Resistant Paint Coating in Ansan Plating Cooperative Complex

The Gyeonggi Regional Headquarters of the Korea Industrial Complex Corporation announced on the 28th that it has signed a "Fire Prevention Support Project Agreement for Banwol National Industrial Complex" with Samhwa Paint Industry and Ansan Plating Cooperative Complex.

Through this agreement, a fire-resistant paint coating support project will be promoted targeting small and medium-sized enterprises in the Ansan Plating Cooperative Complex, a densely populated area handling hazardous chemicals. The Gyeonggi Regional Headquarters of the Korea Industrial Complex Corporation plans to support costs for fire-resistant paint coating, labor costs, and promote activities to raise safety awareness among industrial complex workers.

Samhwa Paint Industry, which operates production activities in the Banwol-Sihwa National Industrial Complex, plans to provide 3,000 liters of fire-resistant paint free of charge to the Ansan Plating Cooperative Complex to delay the spread of fire. The fire-resistant paint provided by Samhwa Paint forms an insulating layer in case of fire, reducing the speed of fire spread and minimizing the leakage of hazardous chemicals. The Ansan Plating Cooperative Complex will cooperate in the fire-resistant paint coating and conduct safety awareness activities for workers.

Park Jin-man, head of the Gyeonggi Regional Headquarters of the Korea Industrial Complex Corporation, said, "This agreement is meaningful in creating a safe industrial complex by sharing the technologies possessed by tenant companies in the industrial complex," and added, "We will continuously discover and promote safety support projects needed by tenant companies in the industrial complex."
