'UAE President Muhammad's First Visit to Korea, Arrives at Seoul Airport Escorted by F-15K'

State Visit of Korea for Two Days on the 28th and 29th

The UAE presidential aircraft carrying Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), who is making the first state visit to our country, entered the Republic of Korea Air Defense Identification Zone (KADIZ) on the morning of the 28th.

The Presidential Office announced that in the afternoon of the same day, the presidential aircraft carrying President Mohammed of the UAE arrived at Seoul Airport escorted by four Republic of Korea Air Force F-15K fighter jets.

At the invitation of President Yoon Suk-yeol, President Mohammed of the UAE will make a two-day state visit to Korea from the 28th to the 29th. This visit marks the first state visit to Korea by a UAE president.

On the 29th, President Yoon and President Mohammed of the UAE will hold a summit at the Yongsan Presidential Office to discuss regional security issues, cooperation on climate change response, and other global matters.

The Presidential Office previously stated in a briefing that just as President Yoon and his wife were grandly welcomed with mounted cavalry and camel riders during their state visit to the UAE in January last year, Korea will also extend the highest level of courtesy when the UAE president enters our airspace this time.

On the first day of President Mohammed’s visit, the 28th, President Yoon will hold social engagements and a dinner, and on the following day, the 29th, will begin with an official welcoming ceremony at the Presidential Office, followed by a summit meeting, signing of agreements and memorandums of understanding (MOUs), and a state luncheon.
