Changnyeong Culture and Arts Center Hosts "Spirit of Korea" Exhibition Highlighting the Value of Traditional Culture

Kim Taesoon, an Expatriate Artist, Expresses the Beauty of Traditional Culture ... Emphasizing the Value of What Is Disappearing

Changnyeong County, Gyeongnam Province, announced on the 28th that it will host the exhibition "The Spirit of Korea" by Kim Taesoon, an artist originally from Changnyeong, from July 4 to July 21.


This exhibition will be held at the main exhibition hall of the Changnyeong Culture and Arts Center. Kim Taesoon, whose hometown is Changnyeong, is a mid-career artist who studied Western painting at Yeungnam University and Eastern painting at Dong-A University.

The exhibition will feature more than 20 diverse works, including large-scale pieces over size 100, new works, and small pieces. The artist focuses on expressing the beauty of traditional Korean culture using hanji, old books, and mixed media.


A representative from the Changnyeong Culture and Arts Center stated, "Through this exhibition, we hope to reflect on the beauty and value of our traditional culture and raise awareness of the importance of preserving disappearing traditions."

The exhibition is free of charge and open to the public from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., except on Mondays when the venue is closed.
