Boseong Selected for 'Culture Delivery to Every Corner on Culture Day' Contest

Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism Selected for Culture Day Public Contest Project

Boseong-gun, Jeollanam-do announced that it has been selected for the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism’s “2024 Culture Day Corner-to-Corner Culture Delivery” contest project to reduce cultural disparities between regions.

With this selection, it secured 70 million KRW in national funding and will hold cultural events for residents and tourists from June to November.

The “2024 Culture Day Corner-to-Corner Culture Delivery” consists of two cultural events held on the Saturday of the Culture Day week (the last Wednesday of each month): at Deungnyang Station Memory Street and at Boseong Pansori Sacred Site.

offers programs such as “Performances,” “Rental of Nostalgic School Uniforms,” and “DJ Music Box” from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., providing young people with retro vibes and middle-aged and older generations with opportunities to feel nostalgia.

will present the beauty of traditional culture through traditional art performances and pansori experience programs from 2:40 p.m. to 3:20 p.m.

A Boseong-gun official stated, “We hope this event will establish Boseong-gun as a cultural city where art and tourism harmonize,” adding, “We will enhance the cultural value of the region through various performances that residents and tourists can enjoy and participate in together.”
