The Construction Industry Vision Forum announced on the 28th that it will hold a seminar titled "Asking the Path of Construction in the Digital Age" at the Construction Hall on Eonju-ro, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, at 2 p.m. on the 5th of next month.
With the recent release of the new open artificial intelligence (AI) model GPT-4o and the accelerated improvement of ChatGPT's performance, the adoption of digital technologies to enhance productivity has become a hot topic across all industries. In the construction sector, which is facing issues such as rising construction costs, labor shortages, and aging technicians, the need for digital technology innovation is growing to reduce costs, shorten construction periods, improve quality, and ensure site safety.
At the seminar, Kim Jong-hoon, Executive Director of Samsung C&T Corporation's Construction Division, will present on "Off-Site Construction (OSC) and Digital Innovation Strategies of Large Construction Companies," sharing domestic digital construction technology cases. Professor Kim Yong-woo from the University of Washington will speak on "Digital Innovation and Implications in the U.S. Construction Market," conveying digital, OSC, and supply chain innovation strategies pursued by American construction companies.
