“Boulangerie Gil” has its main store in Imeun-dong, Gumi-si, North Gyeongsang Province, and will operate a cafe and bakery at LIG Nex1’s Gumi House. Currently, the Gumi main store employs 23 people with disabilities and 7 non-disabled employees as baristas and in the bakery and confectionery fields. The company plans to expand branches to major LIG Nex1 workplaces in Daejeon and Yongin and increase the hiring of people with disabilities in the future.

Lee Gunhyuk, Head of Production at LIG Nex1, said, “The ‘GIL’ in Boulangerie Gil is a pronunciation of the letters of LIG in reverse order, and it reflects our desire to walk the path of coexistence by providing opportunities for workers with disabilities to demonstrate their effort and passion. We will fulfill our corporate social responsibility by supporting employment and social independence for people with disabilities.”

Lee Jungwoo, CEO of Boulangerie Gil, emphasized, “We will spare no effort to support our employees in developing their expertise as bakers and baristas and achieving independence as members of society.”
