Over 100 Works Including Park Su-geun Family 3-Generation Exhibition and Works by Yongsan Art Association Artists and Foreign Artists
Cultural Festival Enjoyed by Local Artists and Residents Together
Yongsan-gu, Seoul (District Mayor Park Hee-young) is sponsoring the exhibition "Painters of Yongsan in Our Time," a cultural festival enjoyed by local artists and residents together.
This exhibition is a special art festival featuring the national painter Park Soo-geun and his family. It aims to create a space where reverence and love for our history and art coexist.
The opening ceremony, held on the 29th at the Yongsan Art Hall exhibition room, is hosted by the Yongsan Cultural Center and organized by the Yongsan Artists Association. The program includes ▲a fashion show ▲a talk show ▲and the main ceremony.
The fashion show, one of the pre-ceremony events, lasts for 40 minutes. Models active in international events will showcase dresses in red and blue colors featuring the Taegeuk pattern. Following this, painter Park Sung-nam will share stories about his father Park Soo-geun and their family paintings for 20 minutes.
The main ceremony starts at 4 PM with the national anthem, introduction of guests, congratulatory speeches, welcome remarks, ribbon cutting, commemorative photos, and an awards ceremony in sequence.
The exhibition continues until the 7th. It features six works spanning three generations: first-generation painter Park Soo-geun, second-generation eldest daughter Park In-sook and eldest son Park Sung-nam, and third-generation Park Jin-hong and Cheon Eun-gyu.
In addition, over 100 works, including 95 pieces by Yongsan Artists Association members, invited external artists, and foreign artists, are available for free viewing by anyone.
Park Hee-young, Mayor of Yongsan-gu, said, "I thank the Yongsan Artists Association officials who worked hard to plan this so that we can experience works by talented domestic and international artists," and added, "I hope many residents will show interest in this exhibition where you can feel the resonance of masterpieces."
