The dining-out company The Born Korea, led by CEO Baek Jong-won, is planning to go public.
According to the investment banking (IB) industry on the 27th, The Born Korea is expected to submit a preliminary review application for listing on the KOSPI to the Korea Exchange this week.
The company's valuation is known to be determined at around 350 billion to 400 billion KRW. The lead underwriters are Korea Investment & Securities and NH Investment & Securities.
The Born Korea attempted to go public in 2018 but postponed it due to the spread of COVID-19, and has resumed preparations for listing this year on the occasion of its 30th anniversary.
CEO Baek established The Born Korea corporation in 1994 and holds a 76.69% stake. The Born Korea's sales last year were 410.7 billion KRW, a 45.5% increase from the previous year, while operating profit was 25.6 billion KRW, a 0.6% decrease.
