Regarding his successor as the new head of Samsung Electronics' semiconductor business, Vice Chairman Jeon Young-hyun, he introduced him as "a colleague with extensive experience and expertise in semiconductors, memory, and battery businesses," and asked to "welcome Vice Chairman Jeon, who will lead the DS Division into a new era of innovation and excellence."

He also added, "I am grateful to customers, partners, and employees who have expressed their appreciation and trust. I embrace this opportunity to reinvent myself and look forward to continuing to work with you in my new role."
