WSI announced on the 27th that it participated in the "32nd Annual Scientific Meeting and Conference of the Korean Society of Interventional Radiology" to showcase cardiovascular interventional medical devices.
The Annual Scientific Meeting of the Korean Society of Interventional Radiology is an event organized every year by the Korean Society of Interventional Radiology. It is a gathering where medical professionals in the field of interventional radiology and over 50 domestic and international medical device and pharmaceutical companies share the current status, roles, and latest medical trends in interventional radiology. This year, the event was held over two days starting from the 24th at the Busan Port International Exhibition & Convention Center.
At this event, WSI exhibited and promoted vascular access products from Kimal PLC, a UK-based medical device specialist company. They showcased Kimal’s ALTIUS central venous catheter and peripherally inserted central catheter, which apply Kimal’s unique composite tube technology, attracting significant interest from medical professionals.
Kimal is a company that develops, manufactures, and distributes medical devices used for diagnostics, cardiovascular interventional procedures, customized procedure packs, and treatments and procedures for kidney diseases and oncology. They supply procedure packs and cardiovascular interventional products to more than 70 countries worldwide. As they have a sales and marketing partnership with the global cardiovascular company Angio Dynamics, their high technology and product quality are recognized in the global market.
WSI officially entered the cardiovascular disease interventional procedure business starting with a distribution contract with Kimal in August. Both companies plan to expand competitiveness in the domestic cardiovascular interventional procedure market by actively conducting marketing and sales activities. To this end, they have held product training and strategy meetings with multiple domestic distributors and signed supply contracts with regional hospitals through partners.
A company representative stated, "The central venous catheter products introduced this time are core medical devices used in various fields such as radiology and vascular surgery," adding, "Through the new cardiovascular disease interventional procedure business, we expect to expand sales channels not only to specialized hospitals in neurosurgery and orthopedics but also to university hospitals and general hospitals related to radiology and vascular surgery."
They continued, "We will actively engage in sales of the cardiovascular interventional procedure business starting in June and aim to achieve significant growth this year."
