Heo Eun-ah, leader of the Reform New Party, sharply criticized the pension reform proposal put forward by Lee Jae-myung, leader of the Democratic Party of Korea, calling it "clearly political."

At the Reform New Party's Supreme Council meeting on the 27th, Heo said, "What have they been doing until now, and why the belated response?" and criticized it as a "hero complex trying to take credit as the problem solver who opened the way for pension reform."

She also pointed out, "The ruling government and party that reject the pension reform bill are equally pathetic," adding, "They are facing a serious self-contradiction by refusing to agree even to the parameter (numerical) reform plan prepared by the ruling party itself."

Regarding the argument to at least pass specific parameter reforms such as the income replacement rate and contribution rate of the National Pension, Heo diagnosed, "If that happens, structural reform will be indefinitely postponed, and the Yeouido work stoppage will continue."
