June 11-12 at Hwasun Ellice Country Club
Scholarships and trophies awarded to top 1-5 men and women respectively
The 10th Asia Economy Honam Cup Junior Golf Championship for nurturing junior golf players will be held on June 11-12 at Hwasun Ellice Country Club in Jeonnam.
Hosted by the Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters and organized by the Gwangju Metropolitan City Golf Association, this tournament is held annually to support the dreams and hopes of junior golfers.
According to the 2024 Korea Golf Association player registration regulations, registered professional players among middle and high school male and female golfers nationwide will participate.
The competition determines rankings based on a maximum 36-hole stroke play, playing 18 holes per day over two days.
After completing the 36 holes, the player with the lowest score will be the winner. In case of a tie, no separate playoff will be held; rankings will be decided by the countback method on the scorecard (18 holes of the final day (holes 1-18), back 9 holes (holes 10-18), back 6 holes (holes 13-18), back 3 holes (holes 16-18), 18th hole, front 6 holes (holes 4-9), front 3 holes (holes 7-9), 9th hole).
However, if part of the competition schedule is suspended due to natural disasters or severe weather, the tournament will be considered valid once all players have completed at least 18 holes.
Trophies and scholarships will be awarded to the top five players in both the men's and women's divisions.
