CGV "Plans to Secure Content Diversity"
Actor Son Seok-gu stars in and produced a short film that will be released in theaters.
CGV announced on the 27th that it will exclusively screen 'Night Fishing' at fifteen locations for two weeks starting from the 14th of next month. It is a humanism thriller co-produced by Stanum and Hyundai Motor Company. The film deals with a mysterious incident occurring at an electric car charging station on a dark night.
The director is Moon Byung-gon, who won the Palme d'Or in the short film competition at the 2013 Cannes International Film Festival. The film immerses viewers using only the front, rear, and left-side camera perspectives of a car.
The running time is 12 minutes and 59 seconds. This is the first time CGV is screening a short film of around 10 minutes. Kim Jae-in, head of content and marketing, explained, "Considering the consumer tendency to focus on efficiency relative to time, we decided to screen short-form content," adding, "Starting with 'Night Fishing,' we plan to secure content diversity."
The ticket price is 1,000 won. To commemorate the release, CGV will hold events such as stage greetings, GV sessions, and official merchandise giveaways. For detailed information including screening times, please refer to the CGV mobile application.
