SureSoftTech is showing strong performance. Expectations that the Small Modular Reactor (SMR) market will grow rapidly appear to be influencing its stock price. SureSoftTech has participated in the SMR verification project led by NuScale Power, the largest SMR design company in the United States.
The advantage of being able to install SMRs near AI data centers, often called "electricity-hungry hippos," is gaining attention. SMRs, which are much safer than large nuclear power plants and cost only one-tenth to build, are called a "game changer" that will reshape the energy industry. UK market research firm IDTechEx forecasts that the SMR market will grow to $295 billion (approximately 401 trillion KRW) by 2043.
As of 11:07 AM on the 27th, SureSoftTech is trading at 6,130 KRW, up 15.01% compared to the previous trading day.
Founded in 2002, SureSoftTech was the first in Korea to domestically develop software verification automation technology. It supplies comprehensive software testing and verification solutions used in the high-risk, high-reliability "Mission Critical" industries. Mission Critical industries refer to sectors such as automotive, defense aerospace, medical, and finance, where even small mistakes can lead to fatal consequences.
SureSoftTech has conducted testing and verification of Korea-type reactor instrumentation and control systems for over 15 years. It has especially accumulated high expertise in software verification and cybersecurity services compliant with IEEE 1012 and KINAC/RS-015 standards. By participating in the verification of Korea-type reactor control systems, it has established a unique position. It has started verification for Small Modular Reactors and is involved in the SMR verification project led by NuScale Power in the United States.
SureSoftTech is fostering artificial intelligence (AI) as a new growth engine. Entering the AI era, it is focusing future technology development in two directions: "Test by AI," which enhances AI software verification productivity, and "Test of AI," which verifies the reliability of AI itself. It expects to sign meaningful contracts with large corporations in the second half of this year.
