New English Camp Initiative
Expansion of Customized Support for Demanders Including Vacation Allowance and Comprehensive Health Checkups
The Small and Medium Business Corporation announced on the 27th that it will provide various services to improve the welfare of employees working at small and medium-sized ventures for subscribers of the Naeil Chaeum Deduction program.
The Naeil Chaeum Deduction is a program operated by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups and the Small and Medium Business Corporation since 2014, where small and medium-sized enterprises and their employees jointly save funds over five years, and the full amount is paid to the employee upon maturity. Employees subscribed to the deduction program can take advantage of opportunities to accumulate a lump sum and various educational and welfare benefits.
Reflecting the results of a demand survey conducted earlier this year among subscribers and the latest welfare trends, the Small and Medium Business Corporation will expand customized educational and welfare services for users starting from the 29th of this month.
Educational services include ▲ specialized courses to enhance job competencies for employees of small and medium-sized ventures and e-learning courses covering ESG and industrial safety ▲ ‘education vouchers’ supporting self-development such as language courses (including telephone English), certification courses, and access to an electronic library ▲ and an ‘English camp’ supporting the education of subscribers’ elementary school children.
In particular, the English camp service, launched for the first time this year, is a free program that allows subscribers’ children to participate in a residential English camp run by a professional language institution during the elementary school summer vacation period, utilizing the Small and Medium Business Corporation’s training center.
Welfare services include ▲ ‘vacation expense support’ in collaboration with the Korea Tourism Organization ▲ ‘free comprehensive health checkups’ through nationwide medical institutions ▲ ‘rural village experience and recreation’ fully supporting accommodation, experiences, and meals tailored to each region’s characteristics ▲ and an ‘online welfare mall.’
Jo Han-gyo, Director of Human Resource Development at the Small and Medium Business Corporation, said, “By providing customized educational and welfare services, we will strengthen the capabilities of employees working at small and medium-sized ventures and do our best to enhance the competitiveness of small and medium-sized enterprises by reducing welfare gaps between employees of large and small-to-medium enterprises.”
