Ukrainian Lawmaker Mykolaienko Visits Korea... Discusses Reconstruction Cooperation with Former Minister Won Hee-ryong

On the 27th, it was announced that Andriy Nikolayenko, a member of the Ukrainian parliament and representative of the Ukraine-Korea Friendship Association attending the Asian Leadership Conference (ALC), a global cooperation forum for Ukraine's reconstruction, met with former Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport Won Hee-ryong.

They met on the 21st at the Shilla Hotel, a day before the ALC event held in Jung-gu, Seoul. The meeting was attended by Andriy Nikolayenko, former Minister Won Hee-ryong, and others.

During the meeting, Member Nikolayenko discussed detailed matters related to Ukraine's reconstruction with former Minister Won, who has actively supported post-war recovery projects under the One Team Korea initiative. Former Minister Won promised active support, mentioning various fields in which Korea can participate in Ukraine's reconstruction.

Former Minister Won stated, "Korea can actively support in areas such as ▲road restoration ▲power and energy supply in preparation for the upcoming winter ▲establishing alternative transportation routes for grain exports ▲electric vehicle battery supply ▲industrial complex construction ▲industrial workforce education and training," adding, "Korea's contribution to Ukraine's reconstruction is not only about economic entry and profit but also enhances Korea's status in the international community and strengthens international security cooperation for Korea."
