GS Retail's home shopping channel GS Shop announced on the 27th that it has started the recruitment process for new shopping hosts through the official GS Retail recruitment website.

Applicants must be graduates or expected graduates of domestic or international junior colleges or higher, and must be able to start working from August 1 of this year. Anyone without disqualifications for overseas travel can apply. The application period is from the 28th of this month until the 11th of next month.

All applicants are required to create a self-introduction video, upload it to a YouTube channel, and provide the video URL. Those who pass the document screening will go through a first camera test and a second PT interview before the final selection.

GS Shop prioritizes selecting talents who possess content competitiveness that can cover mobile channels such as social networking services (SNS) like YouTube and Instagram, live commerce, and short-form content, in addition to the live broadcast skills required in TV home shopping.

In the second PT interview, the ability to deliver and direct information about products powerfully and concisely in a short time will be critically evaluated. GS Shop is strengthening its video content competitiveness suited to mobile formats by launching 'ShortPick,' the industry's first short-form content service.

Shin Young-hoon, head of the Home Shopping BP Team at GS Retail, explained, "The reason home shopping has established itself as a trusted channel among customers is that shopping hosts have delivered accurate and correct information to customers, helping consumers shop rationally. We hope many applicants with the capability to expand the trust assets built by previous shopping hosts into mobile platforms will apply."
