Research Al-eum urged on the 27th that it is time to pay attention to Shinsegae Food, Udeumji Farm, Seoul Food, and others as K-Food is gaining popularity overseas.
Choi Seonghwan, a researcher at Research Al-eum, explained, "Recently, as the popularity of K-Food has spread overseas, food and beverage stocks have surged," adding, "According to the Korea Agro-Fisheries & Food Trade Corporation, exports of agricultural and fishery products surpassed $12 billion last year, marking a record high."
He continued, "The increase in exports of agricultural products is influenced by the preference for convenience foods, the Hallyu effect, and the image of K-Food as a healthy diet," and added, "K-Food offers high quality and satisfaction relative to its price, so its popularity is expected to continue for a long time."
Researcher Choi analyzed, "Ready-to-eat meals (HMR), which Shinsegae Food is focusing on, have strengths in time-saving, affordable prices, and taste, leading to rapid growth in the food and beverage market," and "They will also start franchise businesses for No Brand Burger and No Brand Pizza."
He predicted, "Udeumji Farm's profits will also increase," forecasting, "They will expand exports of stevia tomatoes to the United States, Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and Central Asian countries."
Furthermore, he emphasized, "Seoul Food is accelerating its entry into the global market by securing export clients in the Americas," and "They are increasing overseas sales by expanding existing export clients in Japan and Taiwan."
