Gyeonggi Province will conduct a 'Rainy Season Safety Management Inspection' at railway construction sites within the province until the end of this month.
The inspection targets a total of seven railway construction sites, including the Byeollae Line sections 3, 4, 5, and 6, and the Dobongsan-Ogjeong Line sections 1, 2, and 3, which are directly managed by the province.
The main inspection items include ▲ the appropriateness of safety management plan preparation and management status ▲ identification of flood risk factors and flood prevention measures ▲ appropriateness of installation of electrical facilities vulnerable to flooding and electric shock ▲ appropriateness of temporary facility installation against strong winds ▲ and whether excavation slopes have been eroded.
Gyeonggi Province will conduct the inspection jointly with railway construction technical advisory committee members specializing in structure, soil, architecture, construction, and quality safety, technical support engineers, and provincial officials.
A Gyeonggi Province official stated, "We have established an emergency duty system to prepare for heavy rain, typhoons, and heatwaves, and developed response plans according to weather alert levels to ensure rapid response and action in coordination with the sites in case of emergencies."
