On the 26th, LG Uplus announced that it has launched the talent development training program "Why Not SW Camp" in the big data and cloud fields to cultivate practical DX talents.
This training program is part of the training project "K-Digital Training (KDT)" led by the Ministry of Employment and Labor and the Korea University of Technology and Education's Vocational Competency Assessment Institute. It is a project aimed at nurturing talents equipped with practical skills required in the digital new technology field, with private companies and universities participating as training institutions to provide training courses in digital and new technology fields.
"Why Not SW Camp" is the second K-Digital Training program following the frontend and backend developer training course "URECA," announced on the 17th. LG Uplus plans to nurture talents needed in areas such as artificial intelligence (AI), big data, and cloud, and support their employment.
In collaboration with Hyundai Research Institute and IT specialized education institution i.Growth, a curriculum has been designed to enhance job competencies and employment-related knowledge. Participants can take job training involving active developers, special lectures on recent technology trends, and employment lectures covering resume writing and interview tips.
LG Uplus will hold an orientation on the 17th of next month using the virtual office service "MetaSlab" for participants residing in provinces. Additionally, a development competition will be held where trainees will receive mentoring from LG Uplus employees based on LG Uplus’s open data.
This training is open to any Korean citizen who has not taken a K-Digital Training course in the past five years and holds a National Tomorrow Learning Card. Applications can be submitted on the "Why Not SW Camp" website until midnight on the 9th of next month. The training course is free and will run for about six months from the 17th of next month to December 28.
