Gumi Youth Dream and Talent Contest Held

On May 25, the city of Gumi in North Gyeongsang Province held the "4th Gumi City Youth Dream and Talent Contest" at the Saemaeul Undong Theme Park to celebrate Youth Month in May.

This event, now in its fourth year, was organized by the Sangmosagok-dong Youth Guidance Committee (Chairperson Lee Chunok), and was attended by over 1,000 youths and local residents, making it a great success.

During the pre-event, youths and residents together performed a surprise flash mob to the accompaniment of "Dokdo is Our Land," drawing much attention.

In the competition, 15 teams of middle and high school students from the local area, who advanced through online preliminaries, showcased their skills in dance, vocal, and instrumental categories.

Various experience booths, including ventriloquism performances, dance and vocal celebration performances, craft activities, and makeup, were also operated, providing entertainment for citizens who visited the event.

Mayor Kim Jangho said, "We will implement policies to enhance the cultural sensibility and support the healthy growth of youth, and we will do our best to make Gumi a city where youth can enjoy a variety of events in their daily lives."
