Songpa-gu Holds High School Selection Briefing... High School Credit System and College Admission Strategies 'All at Once'

Songpa-gu (District Mayor Seo Gang-seok) announced that on May 27th at 10 a.m., it will hold the '2024 High School Entrance Exam Briefing Session' at the Songpa-gu Office Auditorium for middle school parents. The session aims to design customized admission strategies by understanding the characteristics of each high school ahead of the implementation of the high school credit system.

In preparation for the revised College Scholastic Ability Test (CSAT) in 2028, the district organized this briefing session to provide accurate information, alleviate the concerns and anxieties of students and parents, and help design a systematic college entrance strategy starting from middle school.

In particular, this briefing session will present methods for selecting schools and corresponding college entrance strategies in line with the rapidly changing admission system due to the introduction of the high school credit system.

The lecturer, Kim Chang-sik, director of MBEST and a top expert in high school admissions, will conduct a two-hour session covering topics such as ▲types of high schools within Songpa-gu ▲analysis of advantages and disadvantages when choosing a high school ▲preparations for the high school credit system.

Any middle school student or parent in Songpa-gu who wishes to participate can join free of charge, with registration open to the first 300 applicants on the Songpa-run website. After the session, the lecture video will be posted on the Songpa-run website and YouTube.

Meanwhile, last year, a 'High School Credit System Briefing Session' was held for middle school parents, with 95% of respondents expressing satisfaction, receiving positive reviews from parents.
