Kang Hyung-wook Clarifies via YouTube... Denies Most Allegations
Former Employee Retorts, "I Vividly Remember the Verbal Abuse"
Dog trainer Kang Hyung-wook clarified allegations surrounding Bodeum Company, where he serves as CEO, but former employees have come forward to refute his statements.
On the 24th, Kang Hyung-wook posted a video on his YouTube channel in which he and Susan Elder, his wife and director of Bodeum Company, addressed various allegations.
In the video, Kang explained several controversies that had been publicly reported, including employee surveillance, workplace verbal abuse, wage arrears, and dog abuse. During this process, he denied most of the allegations.

Regarding the allegation that he verbally abused employees by saying things like "you are worse than bugs," he said, "That is not an expression I use when I am angry," and added, "I can get angry without cursing. I usually do not curse." He continued, "During training, unexpected situations can occur, so I often raised my voice to warn trainers to be careful."
Kang stated, "I may not have been a good CEO from the trainers' perspective," and added, "I sincerely apologize to anyone who felt hurt due to my shortcomings as a CEO. If there is any wrongdoing that I must be punished for, I will accept it willingly."
In response, a former Bodeum Company employee, identified as A, rebutted Kang’s statements on the JTBC current affairs program 'Sageon Banjang' aired on the 24th.
A said, "He claims he never cursed, but if you ask trainers whether Kang ever cursed, no one would say yes. I personally heard very severe curses. I also heard curses directed at other employees and dog owners," he said.
He added, "He said he never said 'you are worse than bugs,' but the employee who heard that phrase told others that they wanted to quit the company. I vividly remember what kind of verbal abuse was heard."
