Osan 'Yamaek Festival' Linked Prize Event... Gyeonggi-do Hosts Local Festivals at 155 Regional Businesses

Osan 'Yamaek Festival' Linked Prize Event... Gyeonggi-do Hosts Local Festivals at 155 Regional Businesses Citizens are participating in a prize draw event held as part of Gyeonggi Province's traditional market revitalization campaign.

Gyeonggi Province will provide various attractions and entertainment by linking local festivals and tourism at 155 local commercial areas, including traditional markets and alleyway businesses, from the 17th of this month to the 16th of next month.

As part of this project, Gyeonggi Province will hold a traditional market prize event for two days on the 25th and 26th in connection with the ‘Yamaek Festival’ held at Osan Osaek Market. This event is part of the ‘Gyeonggi SalriGO’ project under the ‘Minsheng Recovery Let’s Go!’ initiative announced on the 16th.

The Osan Yamaek Festival is the nation’s largest craft beer festival, organized by the Osan Osaek Market Merchants Association, Osan City, and the Gyeonggi Tourism Organization to contribute to increasing sales in the local commercial district. This year marks its 11th anniversary.

The Yamaek Festival runs until the 26th and features the sale of over 500 types of craft beer nationwide, food booths, experience and flea markets, and cultural performances.

Along with events and discount promotions at traditional markets, Gyeonggi Province will implement the ‘Generous Local Currency to Fill Your Shopping Basket’ program until the end of August, which increases incentives such as discount rates and purchase limits for Gyeonggi local currency.

A Gyeonggi Province official stated, "Expanding incentives for Gyeonggi local currency requires cooperation from city and county governments, and we plan to actively request their participation so that many residents can benefit."
