Boeing Introduces 'Fuel Analytics'
Eastar Jet is introducing a program to analyze fuel consumption trends and improve efficiency, becoming the first domestic low-cost carrier (LCC) to do so.
Eastar Jet announced on the 24th that it will implement this statistical analysis program called 'Fuel Analytics.'
Developed by aircraft manufacturer Boeing, this program analyzes fuel consumption patterns at each stage of aircraft operation and provides fuel-saving solutions accordingly. It monitors all processes of aircraft takeoff and landing, enabling the establishment of fuel-saving strategies and optimization of flight plans. Eastar Jet expects that using Fuel Analytics will improve annual fuel efficiency by 4.3%.
Along with this, the company will conduct an internal campaign titled 'Challenge for Sustainable Flight.' Flight crew members plan to optimize fuel efficiency by employing various methods during aircraft operation, such as minimizing the use of auxiliary power units, managing aircraft weight, and establishing fuel loading standards based on weather conditions.
An Eastar Jet official stated, "Through the introduction of this program and the internal campaign, we can contribute not only to cost reduction but also to carbon neutrality, a global challenge. We will gradually transition our fleet to eco-friendly aircraft and develop into a sustainably growing airline."
