Gyeongnam Province and Miryang Arirang Festival Promote Hometown Love Donation Program
Gyeongnam Nonghyup, in collaboration with Gyeongsangnam-do, conducted a promotional campaign for the Hometown Love Donation Program at the 66th Miryang Arirang Festival on the 23rd to encourage participation in the initiative.
The promotional event was attended by Lee Sanghun, Head of Nonghyup Miryang Branch, employees of Gyeongnam Nonghyup, and staff from the Taxation Division of Gyeongsangnam-do. To promote the Hometown Love Donation Program, local agricultural products (such as Muan chili peppers) were distributed to citizens attending the festival, along with publicity for the program and for Gyeongnam's outstanding local agricultural and livestock products offered as rewards.

Cho Geunsu, Head of Headquarters, stated, "Gyeongnam Nonghyup will continue to actively participate in promoting the Hometown Love Donation Program so that it can become a catalyst for urban-rural coexistence and overcoming the crisis of local extinction."
The Hometown Love Donation Program allows individuals (excluding corporations) to donate up to 5 million KRW per year to local governments other than their place of residence. Donations are fully tax-deductible up to 100,000 KRW, and amounts exceeding 100,000 KRW are eligible for a 16.5% tax credit. Donors can also receive local specialty products or other rewards worth up to 30% of their donation.
