Popular Finance YouTuber Steps Up as Evangelist
Demonstrates Sign-Up via Website and Holds Special Lecture
A professional financial investment YouTuber has been appointed as an ambassador to promote the pension fund project of the Korea Workers' Compensation and Welfare Service.
The Korea Workers' Compensation and Welfare Service announced on the 23rd that it has appointed YouTuber Park Gomhee (real name Park Dongho), operator of the financial investment channel 'Park Gomhee TV', as the honorary ambassador for Pureun Ssiat, the retirement pension fund system for small and medium-sized enterprises.
On the 23rd, the Service held an appointment ceremony for the Pureun Ssiat ambassador at Courtyard Marriott Namdaemun in Seoul, attended by Sung Heonkyu, Director of Medical Welfare, other Service executives and staff, and representatives from Mirae Asset Securities and Samsung Asset Management, the dedicated management institutions for Pureun Ssiat.

With over 660,000 subscribers, Park is active as an investment mentor who delivers friendly and meticulous financial information. Recently, he uploaded an introductory video about the Pureun Ssiat system on his Park Gomhee TV channel, receiving a positive response from the public.
On the day of his appointment as ambassador, Park Gomhee surprised attendees by personally enrolling his own workplace in Pureun Ssiat through the official website. He also delivered a special lecture on the topic of 'Asset Allocation Strategies Using ETFs', receiving applause from the audience.
Introduced in September 2022, Pureun Ssiat is a customized retirement benefit system for small businesses with 30 or fewer employees. The project is operated by the Service with support from the Lottery Fund of the Ministry of Economy and Finance’s Lottery Commission.
Small business owners and members who join Pureun Ssiat receive exceptional benefits. Employers are exempt from fees for four years and receive support for 10% of the contributions paid for low-income workers for three years (up to 24.12 million KRW), greatly reducing their financial burden.
Additionally, starting this year, for workers earning less than 2.68 million KRW per month, 10% of the employer’s contribution is additionally deposited into the worker’s Pureun Ssiat account. This means that the retirement savings, which can be called the seed for workers’ future income, steadily accumulate.
Pureun Ssiat entrusts its assets to Mirae Asset Securities and Samsung Asset Management, striving to increase returns. Last year, it recorded a return of 6.97%, bringing a fresh change to the retirement pension market, which had previously seen returns of around 2%.
Park Gomhee, newly appointed as ambassador, emphasized, "Since Pureun Ssiat is a retirement benefit system that can greatly help small businesses, I will do my best as ambassador to raise awareness among as many people as possible."
Sung Heonkyu, Director of Medical Welfare at the Service, said, "We are very pleased to collaborate with Park Gomhee, who spreads professional financial knowledge," and added, "We will work harder to improve the system so that Pureun Ssiat can become a hope-filled pension that provides stability for the retirement lives of small business workers."
