Held for Three Days in the Osaek Market Area
The representative spring festival of Osan-si, Gyeonggi-do, the 'Yamaek Festival,' will open on the 24th.
Osan City announced on the 23rd that it will hold the '11th Yamaek Festival' at Osaek Market for three days from the 24th to the 26th to revitalize the local commercial district and economy.
The Yamaek Festival is a craft beer festival where visitors can enjoy craft beers produced nationwide, food, various performances, and experiential activities together. Craft beer breweries from all over the country will gather in one place to showcase a variety of craft beers such as stouts, lagers, and ales. Especially this year, for the first time, a separate booth for the 'Traditional Liquor' section will be operated, with four domestic Makgeolli breweries, including Osan Brewery, participating.
The festival's signature program, the 'Beer Tour,' will also be held. It is a special tour where participants can taste more than eight types of beer while visiting brewery booths with a professional guide and hear stories from each brewery.
Additionally, various events that visitors can participate in will be prepared, such as finding hidden QR codes, brewery stamps, and prize giveaways at major event venues.
At the pop-up store held for the first time, visitors can experience '1950 Retro Chilsung Cider.' In collaboration with Lotte Chilsung, the Yamaek Festival will operate a 'Retro Cider' pop-up booth introducing Chilsung Cider with the nostalgic feel of the 1950s.
Three unique visitor spaces also attract attention. The 'Standing Brewpub' is a space to enjoy standing like in a pub, where family game events will be held. The 'Romantic Dinner Show' offers an Instagrammable photo zone tailored for the MZ generation and performances that interact with the audience. The 'Moms Lounge' provides a seated area to relax, eat, and enjoy performances and events.
Lee Kwon-jae, mayor of Osan City, said, "The Yamaek Festival is the city's representative festival with the young and vibrant dynamism of Osan City and Osaek Market," adding, "We will actively support small business owners to revive the stagnant local economy."
