KB Kookmin Bank Donates 50 Million Won to Dong-A University for '1,000 Won Breakfast' Program

“A Wish for the World to Become a Little Better”

Dong-A University (President Lee Haewoo) announced on the 23rd that the KB Kookmin Bank Busan, Ulsan, and Gyeongnam Regional Group has donated 50 million KRW as sponsorship for the '1,000 Won Breakfast' program.

The '1,000 Won Breakfast' is a government initiative that provides breakfast to university students for 1,000 KRW and supports the formation of healthy eating habits. Dong-A University has been participating in this program since last year.

At the donation ceremony held on the 21st in the president's office at Dong-A University's Seunghak Campus, attendees included President Lee, Lee Hyuk, Head of the KB Kookmin Bank Busan, Ulsan, and Gyeongnam Regional Group (Vice President), Oh Eungsoo, Director of Student and Career Support at Dong-A University, Park Hyuntae, Director of External and International Affairs, Yang Moonsan, Head of KB Kookmin Bank Busan Regional Headquarters, Shin Heeyong, Branch Manager of the Busan City Hall branch, and Yoo Sangmaeng, Deputy Branch Manager of the Busan City Hall branch.

Employees of KB Kookmin Bank are donating 50 million won to Dong-A University to support the 'Thousand Won Breakfast' program.

President Lee stated, "Previously, the '1,000 Won Breakfast' was only provided during exam periods, but with the strong support from KB Kookmin Bank, we are now able to expand the program. We are grateful for the support for this meaningful initiative and will make sure to convey KB Kookmin Bank's valuable intentions to our students."

Vice President Lee said, "There is a saying that the left hand should not know what the right hand is doing, but we are carrying out social contribution projects with the hope that the world will gradually become a better place. We will strive to continue and strengthen our support next year."

With this donation, Dong-A University plans to provide the '1,000 Won Breakfast' throughout the month of June and expand it to the entire semester from the second semester onward.
